Frequently Asked Questions

Here you’ll find helpful information and answers to frequently asked questions.

In general, classes take place in the afternoon, unless otherwise scheduled for specific courses.

The shuttle service (bus/car) picks up the students from their accommodation and takes them to the learning location.

At the learning location, each student goes to their class according to their level and studies for 2 hours (regular course) or 4 hours (intensive course). This is followed by one hour of Qur’an class.

At the end of the school day, the shuttle service is available to pick up the students from the learning location and take them back to their accommodation.

The rest of the day is free for students to plan as they wish.

Note: The number of hours should be understood as a general guideline and depends on the number of students in a class. If a class has only a few students, the lesson usually progresses faster, so the planned material for the day may be completed in, for example, 1.5 hours instead of 2 hours. A shorter lesson duration does not mean the student has learned less; it simply means they completed the material more quickly.

This also applies to the Qur’an class: the time is intended for memorization and/or revision. If a student has already prepared at home and has memorized or reviewed the assigned portion, they do not need to stay in the classroom for the full hour. After reciting to the Sheikh, they may leave. In this case, the Qur’an class may be shorter than one hour.

Participants are generally responsible for obtaining their own visa to enter Saudi Arabia. This process is very simple online for those with a European passport. A visa can also be arranged for non-European nationalities. Upon request, Medina Camps can assist with the visa process for a small fee.

Participants are generally welcome to bring their families, but in this case, they must arrange their own accommodation. Upon request, it may be possible to accommodate families within the camp; however, family housing at the camp is very limited.

The accommodation in the Al-Ariydh district of Medina is designed exclusively for men. In certain cases, families (husband, wife, and possibly children) can also be accommodated, but this must be requested in advance.

No, the classes take place at the learning location, which is only about 10 minutes away by car. The daily shuttle service transports students to and from the location.

There is an option to record the lessons, so in shā’ Allāh no one will miss any class.
